According to Aquila Homes Owner and Managing Director Domenic Nardelli, 80 per cent of its homes currently under construction are for clients building for the first time. “For most it is the biggest venture they will undertake and we are committed to providing our clients with exceptional workmanship and customer service,” Mr Nardelli said.
Aquila Homes’ clients Wayne Ginbey and Marie Heavens are in the process of building their first house. “We are in our 60s and 70s and it seemed time to prepare for the tyrannies of old age; in order to get what we wanted in the location we wanted it necessitated having to build it ourselves,” Mr Ginbey said. “This is the first house I’ve ever built (apart from a cubby house 65 years ago) so naturally we had a basic concept as to what we wanted. “The home designer and broker helped us cement those ideas but the team at Aquila was instrumental in refining them, advising pros and cons, suggesting alternatives in various finishes and assisting in sourcing different materials.
“In short, they would build us not just a house but a home both we and they could be proud of.” At Aquila Homes, its builders create custom homes that combine style and excellence and this shows more than ever with Wayne and Marie’s house.
